I was able to design, mail, and analyze surveys based on the scholarships given to students interested in a career in healthcare. The project was conducted throughout the entirety of my internship at the Carle Center for Philanthropy in 2016.

recipients from 2008-2010 and 2012- 2015
 Created a survey asking about past career plans and current
career plans
 Sent survey via Survey Monkey and mail
 41 surveys were sent via mail
 68 were sent via Survey Monkey
 10 were returned as undeliverable via mail
 8 were undeliverable via Survey Monkey
 In total 91 surveys were delivered to recipients
 Received 20 responses with overall positive feedback
 3 via mail, 17 via Survey Monkey

which are in the healthcare field

9.  From the 20 responses, only 1 was not in healthcare
 This individual is currently a project specialist on a USAID
funded project
 When asked why they weren’t in healthcare, they
responded with:
 “ I wanted to focus more on international work and the social
side of nutrition, rather than the clinical side.”

10.  While all responses held comments that showed how
thankful they were, some comments showed much
appreciation:
 “The scholarship greatly contributed to my ability to continue my
education. Thank you!”
 “This was my favorite scholarship that I have received. It was
organized and personal.”
 “It helped me out TREMENDOUSLY in buying my textbooks for this
school year.”
 “I am really thankful for the support you have given me!”
 “The scholarship has helped immensely. I am incredibly thankful to
have received it!”

11. Based on the survey results and all of the responses
received, it is obvious that this scholarship is incredibly
successful and helpful to students in a wide range of
majors and career goals. It should continue to be
offered with little or no change.
