Ms. Rauton earned her Bachelor of Nursing degree in 1990 from the University of Arizona, Tucson . She performed
postgraduate nursing in the pre- and post-cardiac transplantunitat Tucson’s UniversityMedical Center.
After relocating to Phoenix, Ms. Rauton was an intensive care nurse for five years. In 1995,she
obtained her Master of Nursing degree and certification as a Nurse Practitioner from Arizona State University,
Tempe.In 2002, she began working for Verde Valley Heart and in December 2008 she joined the Heart&
Vascular Center of Northern Arizona team. Ms. Rauton obtained her doctorate in nursing practice at Arizona State
University in 2012 and is currently managing the outpatientheartfailure clinic at Verde Valley Medical Center.
Ms. Rauton is also faculty for the Doctor of Nursing Practice program atASU’s College ofNursing and Health
Innovation.
