● Mexico is slightly less than three times the size of the
state of Texas.
5. Germany
● Germany is located in central Europe and borders 4
countries.
● Those countries are: The Netherlands, Belgium,
Luxembourg, and France to the west.
● The official capital is Berlin and is mainly known for its
incredible rivers and castles.
7. Russia
● Russia is the largest country in the world; slightly less
than 1.8 times the size of the United States.
● It has a total area of 17m075,200 sq. miles.
● Russia is located in the continents of both Europe and
Asia.
● Russian winters are very long and when the snow
finally melts; everyone wants to celebrate the
beautiful sunshine.
9. United States
● The United States is known as the home of the free and the brave.
●
Our nation's birthday is July 4th
and Americans celebrate with parades, fireworks,
and lots of music.
● The Memphis region is known particularly to media outlets, as the “Mid-South.
● Many well-known musicians grew up in and around the Memphis and Mississippi
Delta.
● These included such musical greats as “Elvis Presley”, “Jerry Lee Lewis”, “Carl
Perkins”, “Johnny Cash”, “W.C. Handy”, “B.B. King”,”Issac Hayes”, “Booker T.
Jones”, “Al Green”, and many others.
11. Italy
● Italy is a country in southern Europe, which is shaped
like a boot penisula that extends into the
Mediterranean Sea.
● Rome is its capital city and covers 116,306 square
miles, including the islands of Sicily and Sardinia.
13. Belgium
● Well situated between France and Holland, the kingdom
of Belgium encompasses all the bet that Europe has to
offer in an area no bigger than one of our smallest
states, Maryland.
● Within the span of one day, you can take a romantic
cruise, hunt for diamonds, enjoy Belgium waffles, frolic
in a festival in Binche, get lost in a castle in Namur, and
explore a fine art museum in Brussels.
15. South Africa
● The cultural heritage of South Africa is woven from
any threads of history and diversity of the people
and their culture.
● Students who explore South Africa through the
internet will explore and experience a glorious
country.
● South Africa is known for the rhythms of the drums
throughout the country.
