2. ELECTRICITY
Electricity is a general term that encompasses a whole
range of phenomena, which are the manifestation of the
presence of a moving electric charges.
We apply the term electricity well known phenomena such
as lightning or static electricity but also others such as the
electromagnetic field and electromagnetic induction.
Electricity was studied from antiquity but did not begin to
be understood until the seventeenth and eighteenth
centuries. It was in the late nineteenth century when
electrical engineering was able to use electricity for
industrial and residential applications
Today electricity is central to daily life in developed
countries: from different energy sources (hydro, thermal,
nuclear) electricity produced is used in homes and
industry.
3. DISCOVERY of MAGNETISM
Oersted discovered that an electric current can deflect a
compass needle, showing the link between electricity and
magnetism.
OERSTED: Was born in 14 august in 1777. Rudkobing,
Dinamarca. Was died in 9 march in 1851 (73 years).
Copenhague, Dinamarca. He was a great scholar of
electromagnetism.
4. MAGNETISM
A compass needle normally
points North and South. An
electric current in a parallel
wire either above or below
the needle will deflect it.
Magnetism is one aspect of
electromagnetism, which is
one of the fundamental
forces of nature (along with
gravity, the strong nuclear
force and the weak nuclear
force).
The most famous of
magnetism is the force of
attraction or repulsion acting
between the ferromagnetic
materials like iron, nickel,
cobalt and their alloys.

Our personal opinion is positive and good!
Electricity has been a useful advance for humanity.
It is used for used appliances, internet, to illuminate, to
charge batteries, and sometimes to warm oneself.
Aside from having good points there are also negative.
It can be dangerous when electrocute yourself, you can
also burn, such as ironing clothes.
