Lean and six segments
1. Lean and six Segments.
In this article we will talk about the difference between lean
process and six segments, and their methods in solving problems
that we counter in our work even we can use it at any problem in
our life.
1- Six segment: focus on variation reduction and always used
in the output of our project to improve effectiveness.
2- Lean: focus on waste reduction and always used in process
to improve efficiency.

2. Six segments and lean adaptation
method to solve problems (DMAIC).
DAMIC : is an abbreviation for The steps that SIX segments and Lean Adaptation used
to solve the problems and will clarify as follow :

and have enough data to test them?
Can you statically validate what is the
root cause?
Do you know what improvement will
fix the root cause by how much?
Did the improvement successful and

3. In the previous Matrix shown that the steps to solve the
problem are from up to down
In the column (DMAIC), and each row have a description for
what you have to do in that step and at the end of the row
you have a question if you know the answer of that question
that mean you finished that step and you can move to the
next step till you reach the last step that will mean that you
have solved the problem.
