1. I’m an electronics engineer and specialized in Automation control systems and
instrumentation engineering. I have been working (still at present) in the EU-Egyptian
TVET reform program as an Senior Technical Consultant for Automation (PLCs,
Analogue & Digital electronics, Sensors and process control) and Teacher/ instructor for
the Training of Teacher and Industrial Trainers/Engineers. I have been also a Teacher
Trainer (ToT –Programs) at the Training Centre for Automation Engineering (TCAE)
which was established by the German Technical AID in Cairo / Egypt under the Egyptian
Government- Ministry of Industry and Trade. The program was under full supervision
and support of GIZ and the Institute became later a Centre of Competence for the EU-
Egyptian TVET reform program. Today it is being upgraded as Technology Competency
Centre (TCC).
In addition to working as a member of the vocational training centre middle management
team to planning, follow up and operation.
Conducted many complete training cycles: like TNAs, Design of new training programs
and teach- ware, development of occupational and skills standards and teacher training
programs and also monitoring and evaluate of the above mentioned fields. Participated in
the development & modernization curricula in the fields of Automation and Mechatronics
designed, developed, conducted and evaluated training courses for TVET teachers and
trainers from different TVET providers in Egypt.
Worked as senior training expert in a TVET system reform project which is co-funded by
Egyptian government and EU performing the tasks/functions: TNA - TVET providers'
Audits -Gap analysis, I also involved in the implementation of upgrading of TVET
providers, capacity building of teaching staff, the development of competency based
curricula and the development with the DACUM method. Also involved in the design of
training programs, development of teaching and learning materials, planning and
budgeting training, implementation & assessment coordination & management.
Worked on the employers’ engagement and setting up a quasi LMI system for the
engineering industry sector.
Worked on development of project proposals related to improving youth employability
through Participatory Development Programme training for employment (PDP) projects.
Worked on audits and assessment of Technical Secondary Schools (TSS) facilities and
staff to identify and propose the needs to introduce Mechatronics specialization.
Worked on benchmarking and comparing the national vocational qualifications ‘profiles
against common profiles prepared in the context of qualifications for Mediterranean
project to facilitate workforce mobility between 7 Mediterranean countries.
Worked on the Technical Assistance for launching "Support to the Technical and
Vocational Education and Training Reform Programme in Egypt - Phase II (TVET II)”
through supporting the Programme Implementation Unit (PIU) in development of
implementation plan, procurement plan, procurement documents (ToRs, equipment
specifications and call for proposals) for services and supplies.
