2. Challenging Conventions
• My product uses many conventions to create meaning. One of these
is a clear narrative written across the screen in short blocks with a
contrasting clip shown after to create enigma.
• It also uses audio codes to create suspense.
• Comparing my use of conventions to other trailers shows how similar
they are. I did not do this intentionally, proving how adequately my
awareness of genre is portrayed.
3. Confronting Social Groups
• Whilst looking back at my trailer, it is clear to see that I could have
included a more diverse cast as it features white males.
• On the other hand, I feel as if the main issue confronted is very
relevant to society today as people are constantly worried about the
threat that terrorists hold, especially in London.
