requirements of our customers in accordance with accepted industry
standards. Our expectation is to achieve 100% customer satisfaction by
utilizing a Quality Management System that continually improves our
manufacturing and management process.
Quality Policy
PQ Machine, L.P. is committed to achieving the highest levels of

teamwork, and new technology. The goal for PQ Machine, L.P. is to

Staff Members
President, Mike Kelley – Mike has over two decades of oilfield machining,
manufacturing, and engineering experience in the Southeast Texas area. In
the last few years, he has gained valuable production organizational insights
in his role as a shop developer. For example, he not only set up the shop
floor using CNC machines, but also worked with customers as Lead
Engineer--problem solving and assisting with the company ISO 9001
integration set-ups. As an experienced productivity expert, Mike is well
versed in shop efficiency, resource planning (ERP) and cost reductions. His
areas of expertise include: Autocad, Edge CAD/CAM, Solid Works, Global
Shop Solutions ERP, Virtual Gibbs CAD/CAM, Shop Management, Visual
Manufacturing ERP.
Production Managers, Rodney Kubecka and Jason Brown – Rodney and
Jason provide production management and direct staff supervision across the
two shifts of workers. Both are experienced shop veterans with skilled in all
phases of CNC programming, tooling setup and machine operations.
Quality Control and Safety Manager, Michael Nickerson – Michael has
developed the ISO 9001:2008 Compliant Quality Control Program for PQ
Machine. He also manages a comprehensive safety program for all shop
employees.
Accounting and Administration, Jennifer Nickerson and Catherine
Kelley – Jennifer and Catherine provide all accounting, administrative and
personnel services for the shop covering all phases of the business.

Production and Work Centers
Since moving to our new Conroe location in August of 2011 we have expanded
our production capabilities to keep up with a steadily increasing demand from our
customer base. Our shop has grown to 8000 square feet under roof and a newly
completed 1000 square foot office area. PQ Machine now includes ten work
centers to handle our manufacturing operations. Each work center is built around
function specific industrial machines that include seven CNC lathes, three CNC
mills and a manual engine lathe. Supplemental machinery includes an industrial
band saw, a 50 ton electric press and a dry blasting booth.
CNC Lathes:
• The Doosan PUMA 400 LC Long bed, with 86 inches distance between
centers, has a maximum turning diameter of 22.4 inches and maximum
turning length of 82.4 inches with swing over bed of 30.3 inches.
• The Doosan PUMA 400B Short bed with 43 inches distance between
centers, has a maximum turning diameter of 21 inches and maximum
turning length of 41 inches with swing over bed of 30 inches.
• The Johnford SL650 with 65 inches distance between centers, has a
maximum turning diameter of 15 inches and maximum turning length of
55 inches.
• Two Johnford SL500s with 28 inches distance between centers, have a
maximum turning diameter of 13 inches and maximum turn length of 25
inches.
• The Samsung SL45 with 88 inches distance between centers, has a
maximum turning diameter of 27 inches and maximum turning length of
86 inches, with a swing over bed of 30 inches.

• The Doosan PUMA 480 LD Long Bed with 80 inches distance between
centers, has a maximum turning diameter of 25.6 inches and maximum
turning length of 80.4 inches with a swing over bed of 35.4 inches. Thru-
hole diameter is 10.8 inches with a 25 inch air chuck and 24 inch three jaw
rear chuck.
CNC Mills:
• The DMV 5025/50 Taper High Precision, Heavy Duty Vertical Machining
Center has a 25 x 55 inch table with an X axis travel of 51 inches, Y axis
travel of 25.5 inches and Z axis travel of 24.6 inches. The allowable table
load is 2,200 pounds and it holds 30 tool changers.
• The Bridgeport GX1000 40 Taper High Precision, Heavy Duty Vertical
Machining Center has a 44 x 21 inch table with an X axis travel of 40
inches, Y axis travel of 21 inches and Z axis travel of 21 inches. The
allowable table load is 1,760 pounds and it holds 30 tool changers.
• The Toyoda FV 1680 High Precision Heavy Duty Vertical Machining
Center has a 68.9 x 31.5 inch table with an X axis travel of 63 inches, Y
axis travel of 31.5 inches and Z axis travel of 31.5 inches. The allowable
table load is 4,400 pounds and it holds 40 tool changes.
PQ Machine complies with ANSI/ISO/ASQ-Q9001:2008 standards.
