2. OBECTIVE OF THE INTERNSHIP
• To understand the need of the customer
• To understand how the company works
• To make sure the customer leaves with full
satisfaction.
3. Introduction about my company
•Foreign Exchange is that branch of Thomas cook
that deals with the currency while a person is
travelling.
•Its an exchange of currencies for various
purposes like, to send money to relatives
abroad, application fee, higher education,
basic travel to abroad.
•The company deals with customers,
through mails, calls and many customers
come directly to the company to exchange or
buy different currencies.
4. METHODOLOGY
My research was based on both Primary as
well as Secondary Data.
• Primary Data : It includes interacting with
customers who visit the company and ask
them all their queries and answering phone
calls.
• Secondary Data: It includes filling documents
and forms such as A2 Forms, TT Order
Forms, DD Forms and Basic Information
Form.
5. INTERNSHIP PROFILE
•I joined Thomas Cook Foreign Exchange on 18th
May 2015.
•I was taught and given tasks on a weekly basis.
•First two weeks I was asked to do the auditing
and check them if all the documents were
present with each bill.
•The next weeks I was asked to complete
registers such as Cheque, DD, TT(Tele-transfer)
and Borderless Prepaid Card Registers.
6. LEARNING OUTCOMES
• In the duration of my Internship I was taught and
explained the basic functions that take place in a
Forex.
• I was taught how to do the auditing and the
various types of forms required with each
transaction the all the documents needed for the
transaction to take place.
• I was also taught how to check the rates of
various currencies and how to fill the registers by
tallying the register with the computer.
7. RECCOMENDATION
•I would only recommend the number of
staff in the office to be increased from
three to five.
•As the work load is high and just three
staff including the manager seems not
enough at times.
•The office is big enough to hold five staff
members rather than just three.
