The National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences announced the winners of the 36th Annual Daytime Entertainment Creative Arts Emmy Awards in Los Angeles. Cristina's Court won the Emmy for Outstanding Legal/Courtroom Program for the second consecutive year. Host Cristina Perez commented that the show's staff worked hard every day and she was blessed to connect with viewers. The Emmy Awards have honored excellence in daytime broadcasting for 36 years across 68 categories.

announced the winners of the 36th Annual Daytime Entertainment Creative Arts Emmy® Awards at a
grand gala in the California Ballroom of the Westin Bonaventure Hotel in Los Angeles.

“Cristina's Court” has won the Emmy Award for
Outstanding Legal/Courtroom Program for the
second year in a row!!!
The Houston produced Fox television court show "Cristina's Court" has won
Their 2nd Emmy at The National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences'
36th Annual Daytime Entertainment Creative Arts Emmy Awards in the
category of Outstanding Legal/Courtroom Program for the second year in a
row since the categories inception last year, 2008.

Cristina's Court stunned the television world when it picked up the first-ever Emmy
Award for Outstanding Legal/Courtroom Program a year ago. That win was the
biggest news to come from last year's Emmy Awards, because it was the first court
show Emmy, and generally assumed to have been created in order to give Judge Judy a
prize. Cristina’s Court has proven once again that quality is golden!
Regarding the announcement, Cristina commented, “We are very excited! What a
privilege to be named along with the other nominees. I’ve had an opportunity to work
with amazing people that brought their personal best everyday to Cristina’s Court. We
appreciate the academy’s recognition of that quality hard work. Personally, I am
blessed that I’ve been able to make a strong connection with viewers.”
The Daytime Entertainment Emmy® Awards has been honoring excellence in all fields
of daytime Broadcast production for 36 years. The Emmy® is awarded in 68 categories,
