VI. Course Description : This course provides essential ideas, concepts and principles fluids;
thermal expansion, thermal stress; heat transfer; calorimetry;
waves; electrostatics; electricity; magnetism; optics; image
formation by plane and curved mirrors; and image formation by
thin lenses.

Course Content

5. Course Requirements:
Passing all major examination
Submitting acceptable alternative outputs such as problem sets
Submit a portfolio/ compilation of problem sets by the end of the semester
Oral Recitation/ Oral Presentation
Written Test (quizzes, chapter test)
Incurring not more than (3) absences unless duly excused
Attending the class religiously

6. GRADING SYSTEM
Note: Class Standing is the sum total of recitation, quizzes, assignments, term
papers, projects and other outputs relevant to the course as prescribed by the
faculty member and approved by the dean.
The computation of grades shall be based on the transmutation table shown
below.
(60% Passing)

7. Class Standing = (Quizzes + Recitation + Reporting)/3

8. Failure Due to Absences (FA):
An “FA” may be assigned when a student has incurred absences beyond 20% of the required
total class hours in a semester (See UA Student Manual for further details).
