Cloud Frontiers: A Deep Dive into Serverless Spatial Data and FME
Magma3.0 datasheet
1. The Magma adapter from Kazan Networks is an industry-leading solution which enables NVMe-oF –attached
storage systems via an easy, plug-in solution. Magma forms a key component for the enablement of the
industry’s newest Composable Infrastructures.
Magma is a half-height, half-length form factor card which is designed to install directly into any JBOF with a
PCIe internal slot.
By upgrading an existing JBOF to one that is Ethernet-attached (EBOF), significantly larger scales of
disaggregation are enabled.

2. Kazan Networks’ Magma represents a unique approach to NVMe-oF bridging, based on extensive levels of
hardware acceleration. This architecture is proven to provide significantly higher performance at lower power
and lower TCO than other, SOC-type approaches.
Kazan Networks developed the industry’s first solution which enables development of storage systems based on
the new NVMe-oF standard. Combined with a PCIe switch and some type of enclosure management, a cost-
efficient EBOF can be brought to market this year.
Features:
• 4 x 25 Gb Ethernet interface
• Four PCIe gen3x4 interfaces to PCIe switch(es)
• Only solution to support RoCEv1, RoCEv2, and iWARP
• Fully hardware-accelerated datapaths mean the lowest latency solution available
• Firmware doesn’t touch I/Os unless there’s an error condition
• The most cost- and power-efficient architecture available
• No DRAM required
• 20W nominal power
