Parts of the Plant by Lambonao

LAMBONAO
I am here to show to you the
parts of a plant.
3. ⊷ A plant is make up of many different parts.
The three main parts are:
The roots, The leaves, and the steam. Each part
has a set of jobs to do to keep the plant healthy.
The roots absorb water and minerals from the
soil and anchor the plant in the ground. The
steam supports the plant above the ground, and
carries the water and, minerals to the leaves. The
leaves collect energy from the Sun and make
food for the plant, using an amazing process
called photosynthesis.

ROOT
Roots have several
purposes. They hold the
plant in the ground and
keep it upright. They take
water and food from the
soil. They also store food
for the plant.
6. STEM
⊷ The stem of the plant connects
the roots to the leaves, helping
to transport absorbed water and
minerals to different parts of the
plant. The stem also helps to
transport the products of
photosynthesis from the leaves
to the rest of the plant.
7. Leaf
A leaf is actually called ‘the
kitchen of the plant’. This is
because they are the main
organ responsible for
photosynthesis, through which
the plant produces its energy or
it’s food.
8. The process by which green
plants and certain other
organisms transform light
energy into chemical energy.
During photosynthesis in
green plants, light energy is
captured and used to convert
water, carbon dioxide, and
minerals into oxygen and
energy-rich organic
compounds.
9. Flower
⊷ Flowers are also called the
bloom or blossom of a plant.
The flower grows on a stalk a
thin node, which supports it.
Flowers have petals. Inside
the part of the flower that has
petals are the parts which
produce pollen and seeds.
