Experts discuss the fundamentals of real-time, beat-to-beat noninvasive blood pressure (NIBP) monitoring and present new research capabilities enabled through the integration of NIBP technology and physiological recording systems. In this webinar sponsored by BIOPAC Systems and CNSystems, Frazer Findlay and Walter Habenbacher discuss study design and demonstrate correct equipment set up and operation when recording NIBP with additional physiological signals. Specifically, Mr. Habenbacher explains the application of the NIBP100D-HD to measure noninvasive continuous blood pressure. He demonstrates setup & measurement and shows how scientific findings can benefit your research with advanced hemodynamic monitoring. Following, Mr. Findlay demonstrates how to interface the NIBP100D Continuous Noninvasive Blood Pressure Monitor with the BIOPAC MP160 Data Acquisition and Analysis System and simultaneously recorded measurements of NIBP, ECG and respiration. In addition, Mr. Findlay discusses important data analysis processes such as computing cardiac output and stroke volume, and demonstrates how scientists can use the “Focus Areas” feature in AcqKnowledge Software to simplify their data review.

An essential webinar for preclinical scientists that wish to learn how to integrate hemodynamic, respiratory and neurological measurements to study multiple biological systems simultaneously while benefiting from more efficient data collection and workflow in the laboratory. In this case study webinar sponsored by Data Sciences International, Dr. Brian Roche of Charles River Laboratories and Jason Payseur of GlaxoSmithKline discuss advantages and challenges pertaining to the combination of physiologic monitoring technologies to collect respiratory, cardiovascular and neurological endpoints from a single animal subject. Specifically, Dr. Roche presents an evaluation of the AllayTM restraint technology utilized in DSI Respiratory solutions versus other commonly used methods. Complimented with implantable telemetry, Dr. Roche shows how he examined the effects of each method on various cardiopulmonary parameters and discusses the benefits and challenges associated with the use of the AllayTM restraint. Jason Payseur presents his assessment of a novel rodent model that examines cardiovascular, respiratory and neurobehavioral endpoints at the same time. He investigates the surgical feasibility of this model and tests its reliability in measuring multiple physiologic endpoints using tool compounds with known physiological effects, caffeine and chlorpromazine.

The human body is an amazingly complicated machine, capable of adapting and responding to various stressors and environmental conditions. Even in extreme situations the body is able to adjust core physiological processes and systems to ensure optimal function, and ultimately, survival. When studying human physiological response the most basic measurements, such as ECG and respiration, can hold huge amounts of information. But, their value is much greater when integrated with other physiological measurements such as blood pressure, oxygen saturation and respiratory gas concentrations. However, accurate co-registration of physiological data is no trivial pursuit. Moreover, the complexity of such research endeavors is compounded when we venture out of traditional laboratory spaces and seek to study human response and adaptation in extreme environments. Sensors and systems must offer practical application and reliable data collection -- moreover, data storage and management is of critical importance. In this webinar sponsored by ADInstruments, Dr. Trevor Day, Associate Professor of Physiology at Mount Royal University in Calgary Alberta, shares his research on the effects of tilt, exercise and high altitude on respiratory sinus arrhythmia (RSA). These case studies serve as representations of more complex applications of human physiologic monitoring, in particular, his trek to Everest Base Camp where he and his research team monitored and tracked acclimatization in the context of high altitude hypoxia. During this expedition multiple physiological measures were recorded simultaneously on both rest and exercise days in order to test for signs of altitude sickness. Dr. Day shares his experiences from this exciting study and others conducted at his lab at Mount Royal to offer perspective regarding the importance of being able to record and integrate multiple data streams simultaneously.

A webinar for scientists interested in the use of implantable pumps as an alternative to repetitive injections when administering compounds to laboratory animals. The administration of compounds and dosing methodologies are important considerations when planning experiments using laboratory animals. Injections are often used for animal dosing, but repeated injections over prolonged periods may be inadequate for some compounds (i.e. those with short half-lives) and can lead to great variations in serum concentrations. They are also stressful to the animal and inconvenient for the researcher. Implantable infusion pumps are useful drug delivery tools for preclinical research and drug development. They offer a reliable and convenient alternative to injections and other repetitive dosing methods. They allow greater control and accuracy in drug delivery, thus reducing dosing errors, ensuring stable dose levels and minimizing adverse effects. ALZET® Osmotic Pumps have been used in preclinical research for nearly four decades to successfully deliver a wide range of experimental agents. iPRECIO® programmable pumps have been developed more recently to facilitate highly demanding dosing requirements. In this exclusive webinar sponsored by DURECT Corporation, Mr. José Gadea describes the features, benefits and applications of implantable pumps. Discussion focuses on clarifying the most common misconceptions circulating within the research community about implantable infusion pumps. This information is intended to help researchers make more informed decisions when choosing the most appropriate dosing method for their study.

In today's digital world, trust is key to customer relationships, but keeping it is a huge challenge. Customers are well-informed and empowered, quick to change brands if their trust is broken, even if it costs them more. This puts a lot of pressure on organizations to handle trust and safety issues with great care and transparency. The challenge, however, is real. Fragmented solutions have left privacy, legal, and security teams in a perpetual cycle of catch-up, struggling to update privacy notices, manage customer data rights, and answer lengthy security questionnaires—all while trying to prove ROI to the business. It's a thankless job, filled with repetition, tedious tasks, and constant interdepartmental coordination. Combine this with fast regulatory changes and the quick evolution of AI, and it becomes overwhelming. Join this webinar to learn more about TrustArc's new innovative solution Trust Center, the only unified, no-code online hub for trust and safety information built for privacy, security, compliance, and legal teams. Trust Center streamlines your path to compliance, shortens the pre-sales cycle, and reduces both legal and regulatory risks, saving time, effort, and cost. This webinar will review: - Why companies are building unified Trust Centers for a robust privacy program. - How unified Trust Centers streamline sales cycles, ensure regulatory compliance, and reduce operational bottlenecks. - How compliance, legal, security, GRC, and privacy teams benefit from a unified Trust Center in terms of needs, pains, and outcomes. - How TrustArc Trust Center saves time and work while reducing legal, reputational, and compliance risk by effectively managing policies, notices, terms, and disclosures, and providing real-time updates on subprocessors.

Join me in this session where I'll share our journey of building a fully serverless application that flawlessly managed check-ins for an event with a staggering 80 thousand registrations. We'll dive into three key strategies that made this possible. Firstly, by harnessing DynamoDB global tables, we ensured global service availability and data replication across regions, boosting performance and disaster recovery. Next, we'll explore how we seamlessly integrated real-time updates into the app using Appsync subscriptions, making the experience dynamic and engaging for users. Finally, I'll discuss how provisioned concurrency not only improved performance but also kept costs in check, highlighting the cost-effectiveness of serverless architectures. Through these strategies and the inherent scalability of serverless technology, our application effortlessly handled massive user loads without manual intervention. This session is a real world example to the power and efficiency of modern cloud-based solutions in enabling seamless scalability and robust performance with Serverless
