WHAT IS SIMULATION:
Simulation is the imitation of the operation of a real-
world process or system over time. The act of
simulating something first requires that a model be
developed; this model represents the key
characteristics or behaviors/functions of the selected
physical or abstract system or process. The model
represents the system itself, whereas the simulation
represents the operation of the system over time.

Michael Anderson is the BOOST Medical Simulation
Specialist at Robeson Community College. He is an Air
Force Veteran with over 20 years of medical experience
performing duties as an Independent Duty Medical
Technician, (IDMT). He also brings expertise in
Telehealth, IT and Medical Simulation, as well as
education and training. He has trained and educated
government, DOD, and civilian doctors, nurses, and
technicians through the use of medical simulation honing
their medical skills to become better providers. "Better
patient outcomes through Medical Simulation"
