Myszków is a city located in central Poland near Częstochowa. During World War 2, it was located near the German-Soviet border. Today, Myszków has a population of 30,000 and contains industrial plants including a paper factory. Several historical sites near Myszków are worth visiting, such as a 19th century factory owner's palace and reconstructed castles in Mirów and Bobolice. A battle between Polish insurgents and Russian forces took place near Myszków during the January Uprising of 1863.
