Dalam asuhan keperawatan preoperatif salah satu bagian yang
penting adalah pencukuran daerah operasi. Persiapan preoperatif
dilakukan untuk mempersiapkan daerah kulit pasien agar terhindar
dari kontaminasi sebelum dilakukan insisi bedah dan pencukuran
daerah operasi dilakukan agar terciptanya lapangan operasi yang
bersih serta mencengah terjadinya infeksi daerah operasi.

5. Prosedur Pencukuran
Yang harus dipersiapkan sebelum melakukan daerah operasi.
1. Sarung tangan on steril.
2. Perlak.
3. Handuk kecil/waslap.
4. Clipper Electric.
5. Cairan desinfektan/betadine/foam pencukur.
6. Plester.
7. Kom berisi air bersih
6. Pelaksanaan
1. Memastikan sudah adanya surat izin tindakan persiapan
laboratorium dan pemeriksaan penunjang lainnya secara
lengkap.
2. Menjelaskan tujuan mencukur area operasi kepada pasien
dan keluarganya
3. Menjaga privacy pasien dengan menutup pintu kamar
pasien atau menutup skerm pasien
4. Melakukan cuci tangan sebelum melakukakan tindakan
5. Memakai masker jika diperlukan atau sesuai kondisi
pasien dengan pasien dengan penyakit menular melalui
airbone atau droplet
6. Meletakkan perlak dibawag area yang akan dicukur
7. Mengoleskan daerah yang akan dicukur dengan foam
pencukur secukupknya(Pastiken pasien tdk alergi)
7. 9. Lakukan pencukuran dengan tepat searah pertumbuhan
rambut.Daerah yang dicukur harus berupa daerah persegi
dengan batas luarnya kira-kira 2-3 cm daerah insisi
sebenarnya.
10. Setelah selesai pencukuran, keringkan dengan
menggunakan handuk
11. Pastikan tidak ada sehali rambutpun tertinggal di area
operasi
12. Gunakan plester untuk mengangkat sisa sisa rambut agar
lebih mudah dan bersih
13. Informasikan kepada pasien bahwa pencukuran sudah
selesai, cek respon pasien
