What does the mirror usually reflect? The mirror usually reflects the physical appearance of a person.
Why doesn’t the poet want the mirror to reflect her eyes, hair and teeth? The poet is scared that the physical beauty may lead to wrong path in the life.
What do you think is the message of the poem? External beauty makes a person an egoist. Physical beauty is mortal. But the values based internal beauty shows us to go in the right direction or physical beauty is transient. It lasts for only a short time. But mental beauty is ever last.
