2. 1.What would be the postmaster’s feeling
when he read Lencho’s second letter?
Lencho just wants to depend on
God and asks for help in free. He also
doubted the innocent people in my post
office. Lencho thought that prayer would
be realised the way exactly he wanted.
Lencho should have appreciated the help
he got. Now I am doubtful. ‘ Is he too
naive and lack of thankfulness?’ he may
be viewed faithful, but his faith is blinded
and one sided.
3. 2. Why did Lencho think that the post
office employees are a bunch of
crooks?
Lencho had profound faith in
God. He trusted that God didn’t make
mistakes. He couldn’t have choice
but to doubt others. So he thought
that the post office employees are a
bunch of crooks.
4. 3. Pick out the sentences in the story that
show Lencho’s strong faith in God.
All thought the night, Lencho thought
only of his one hope – God.
Lencho showed not the slightest surprise
on seeing the money.
He became angry when he counted the
money.
God could not have made a mistake.
5. 4. Usually we enjoy rain. There are times when we curse the
rain too. Have you had any such experience? Share it with
your friends.
One day I was retuning home from the school after
the class. One of my friends was also with me. We were
neighbours too. The sky was cloudy. A cold breeze was
blowing languidly. Soon the rain drops started falling the
rain quickened. We had no umbrellas with us, so we ran
fast. Muddy water ran against our little feet. We took
shelter in the verandah of a small shop. Out clothes and
books were wet. It had been raining till 6 ‘o’ clock. We
squeezed the edges of our shirts to wring water from it.
When I reached home my mother was at the gate. When she
scolded me with along stick, I cried aloud. But she didn’t
stop. At night, I couldn’t sleep. I don’t know how may
times I cursed the rain. Still this incident is remembered
when rain comes.
