Bronzeoak Philippines is a leader in clean energy development in the Philippines, pioneering the country's first sugarcane ethanol and power cogeneration facility as well as its first utility-scale solar farm. Bronzeoak has since developed additional biomass power plants and solar farms, bringing over 200MW of solar capacity online by early 2016. 1. BACKGROUND:
Bronzeoak Philippines is a leader in the development and implementation of clean
energy in the Philippines.
Bronzeoak pioneered the establishment of Asia's first integrated sugarcane to ethanol
and power cogeneration facility, San Carlos Bioenergy, as well as the completion of the
country's first utility scale solar farm, the 22MW San Carlos Solar Energy. Thereafter,
Bronzeoak has forged ahead to develop three more biomass power plants and five more
solar farms, bringing over 200MW of solar capacity into full operation by early 2016.
Bronzeoak continues to expand its portfolio of projects within the bioenergy and solar
sectors, but is also moving into other areas of clean energy, including wind energy,
energy storage and advanced biofuel production technologies.
To date, Bronzeoak has attracted over $700M of new investment into the Visayas,
bringing with it thousands of new jobs and helping realize its goals of spurring
countryside development. Its current investment partners include Macquarie
Infrastructure & Real Assets, Ayala's AC Energy Holdings, ThomasLloyd's Cleantech
Infrastructure Fund and Wuxi Investment Holdings, and its developments have been
acquired by the likes of First Pacific's Roxas Holdings, Aboitiz Power and Sun Edison.
