2. What is a Test of Divisibility?
A Test of Divisibility checks whether a given number is divisible by another
number.
E.g. Is 303 divisible by 3?
Is 512 divisible by 8?
Is 1332 divisible by 11? And so on….
3. Divisible by 2
The units place should be even - 0,2,4,6, or 8
E.g. Is 46 divisible by 2?
Is 722 divisible by 2?
Is 863 divisible by 2?
Is 988 divisible by 2?
4. Divisible by 3
The sum of digits should be divisible by 3
E.g. Is 48 divisible by 3?
Is 212 divisible by 3?
Is 363 divisible by 3?
Is 423152 divisible by 3?
5. Divisible by 4
The last two digits should be divisible by 4
E.g. Is 484 divisible by 4?
Is 168 divisible by 4?
Is 420 divisible by 4?

6. Divisible by 5
The last digit should be 0 or 5
E.g. Is 485 divisible by 5?
Is 250 divisible by 5?

7. Divisible by 6
The number should be divisible by both 2 and 3
E.g. Is 72 divisible by 6?

8. Divisible by 8
Divide the number by 2 thrice and you should still get a whole number.
E.g. Is 485 divisible by 8?

9. Divisible by 9
The sum of digits should be divisible by 9

10. Divisible by 10
The last digit should be 0
E.g. Is 6360 divisible by 10?

11. Divisible by 11
The difference of sum of alternate digits should be divisible by 11
E.g. Is 6853 divisible by 11?

12. Divisible by 12
The number should be divisible by both 3 and 4
