Owning your Neighbourhood is code for “delivering new sales through a constant search for opportunity.” Our
award winner could teach a class in how and where to search for opportunity. Be it hanging out at the binder
wall and asking nosy questions, sitting on her chambers new members committee or developing year book
programs that schools can easily understand this GM is hungry and engaged. Last year she delivered north of
$200,000 in personal sales to Staples. When asked how she is so successful at translating her network to sales
she says. “I just talk to people”. The winner of our Own your Neighbourhood Award is Melanie Delicato, General
Manger Store 330 Elgin Mills.
