Mission
To address human trafficking of minors in Los Angeles with a victim-
centered approach, in effort to eradicate modern day slavery.
Founded Aug. 1, 2014
History Care 18’s executive board and management joined together to lead and
direct an 18-month collaborative project to end human sex trafficking in
Los Angeles. Care 18 has recruited law enforcement, politicians,
government officials, church leaders, business people and many more to
collaboratively end this injustice.
Foundational values: communication, advocacy, recovery, engagement
Services Spread public awareness of Los Angeles’s sex trafficking problem with
a media campaign and community events.
Pioneer multi-agency, multi-service center for first responders to safely
house victims within hours of recovery, in addition to ongoing care.
Volunteer groups to provide wrap-around services in support of goals,
including leveraging resources for housing and safe houses.
Milestones More than 400 of the best people in Los Angeles are collaboratively
working to end human trafficking.
Over $825,000 has been raised and committed to Care 18’s action plans
and overall community goals.
