As part of Substation Design NTDC
Substation Design Department is responsible for the
specification, tendering process from bid preparation to
contract award, primary design and other technical and
commercial services for EHV/UHV substations, I worked as
Dy. Manager as well as led the department as Chief
Engineer. During my stay there, my strengths and
achievements include:
 Preparation of Policy documents which includes Type
Test Policy, Ease of Doing Business
 Preparation of Substation Design Manual for company
 Review and revising of technical specification for the
substation equipment which includes EHV and UHV
Auto Transformers, 132kV Power Transformers,
Cables.
 Strong technical knowledge of equipment sizing
calculations.
 Excellent understanding of international standards like
IEC and IEEE
 Preparation of bidding documents from BOQ to
technical provisions and commercial terms
 Evaluation of EPC tenders, goods procurement tenders,
EOIs and RFQs
 Contract negotiation for EPC projects
 Vetting of technical data for major equipment i.e.
transformers, breakers, Switchgear in accordance to
company specifications
 Type Testing/ Factory acceptance testing for major
equipment
 Interaction with donor agencies like ADB, World Bank,
JICA, KFW regarding the projects under donor agency
 Updating of company specifications
As part of Design & Standard NTDC
The Design and Standards department deals with the
equipment and material of distribution voltage class. The
core functionality of D&S is to develop the specifications
and pro-type testing of the equipment/material. This
department renders the services to the Distribution
Companies of Pakistan.

to the O&M.

As part of Material Inspection NTDC
The Material Inspection department deals with the
equipment and material of distribution voltage class. The
core functionality of MI is to ensure the quality of the
equipment/material during manufacturing phase and also
ensuring Quality Control by conducting Factory Acceptance
Tests.
As Technical Instructor at WASC, Islamabad
As a technical Instructor at WAPDA Administrative Staff
College, my duties and responsibilities were:
