PDHPE develops student’s
knowledge, understanding, skills, values and
attitudes needed to lead healthy, active and
fulfilling lives, and helps them adopt a
responsible and productive role in society.

2. Unlike other KLAs, PDHPE:
Has a holistic approach to developing the
student not just as a lifelong learner and a
future worker, but as a whole human being.

3. PDHPE:
Develops students’ physical, social, cognitive
and emotional capacities.

4. PDHPE:
Explicitly champions the adoption of an active
lifestyle that’s geared to the maintenance of a
healthy body and mind.

5. PDHPE
Is the answer to kids’ sedentary lifestyles
brought by technological and other social
changes.
