2. As an innovation and technology leader, Clariant Oil Services works continuously to
develop chemical solutions and services for our oil and gas production customers across
the globe. With the introduction of our High Throughput Experimentation (HTE)
laboratory, we are vastly increasing our global innovation leadership.
While used widely in other industries for years, we are the first company to adopt a
dedicated, in-house HTE service for the Oil and Gas industry, making this laboratory
the first of its kind in the world and adding to the existing HTE capabilities of
North America. Through differentiation and innovation, this new state-of-the-art
fast response unit offers oil production customers optimized formulations, in a fast
timeframe to meet their unique treatment requirements while providing new and
sophisticated solutions.
This lab is part of a global Clariant initiative to expand HTE capabilities to all Clariant
Business Units, including direct support for Oil Services in North America, Asia Pacific
region, Latin America, Africa and the North Sea.

Developed to help reduce time to market for new products, our advanced HTE laboratory uses automated
instrumentation, specialized software tools, and alternative research techniques to provide accelerated
synthesis, formulation, application and testing unique to the Oil and Gas Industry. These specialized tools and
techniques can greatly improve productivity by identifying new formulations and synergistic blends faster with
higher efficiency, compared to traditional laboratory methods.
The techniques that we use include miniaturization, parallelization, intelligent design and enhanced analytics.
Compared to conventional methods, these tactics enable multiple experiments to be carried out simultaneously
in a fraction of the time.
