services from handling and shipping Hazardous Materials to military duty free, Highly Sensitive Equipment and

• Customer wanted to move 3 million doses of
the H1N1 Pandemic vaccine from the supplier
in the U.S. to the customer based in Pakistan
• Due to the nature of the product and its
sensitivity to temperature, the consignments
had to be shipped in a manner where
temperature could be closely controlled
• When carriers were informed that the
customer was the United Nations, freight rates
increased which compounded the issue of
securing confirmed space on flights
• The client contracted DHL through a third party
United Nations organization so we did not
have direct contact with the customer
