Camera Shots – The camera shots are different shots of medium shots and close up
shots. The shots were used to focus more on the biggest two stars of the sport of
Football and Basketball. The advert was filmed in an airplane so the shots tend to be
generally close up and medium shots.
Mise-en-scene –The thing that I have noticed is the prop that the little boy was holding. It
was the logo of the Turkish airlines but in a football form. The purpose of this is to remind
the viewers that what they are watching is a Turkish airlines advert.
Advertising Techniques – The main techniques used in this advert are celebrity endorsement
and humour. We see a basketball start Kobe Bryant and a football star Lionel Messi. They are
both famous in different sports categories. Which will make the adverts popularity a lot
larger.
Narrative – Kobe Bryant and Messi Turkish Airline advert
A kid see’s Messi then Kobe Bryant. Then they both compete to give the kid an
autograph. They both compete and try and entertain the little boy. Then at the end one
of the flight attendants offered the little boy ice – cream which he then gives into.
In my opinion what this advert is trying to say is if you with our airlines you will meet
famous people.
Target Audience – With some research the target audience for Turkish airlines is between 0-
99. So the target audience for the company would appeal to anyone. The ideal target
audience are people who want to go abroad. It shows the luxury of the planes and the
unlikely celebrities that you might bump into.
Sounds - The sounds are natural, it’s what you are likely to hear if you are at a normal
aeroplane trip. They used natural sounds to let you hear the sports celebrities. With these
two people being really well known icons people would want to know what they’ll do.
