-Title: Key dates in British history.
-Short description of the lesson plan:
Students will surf into British history and choose an event that is celebrated
nowadays. The final product will be a poster published in Gloster. All the
products will be added to the class blog.
-Age group and subject:
4 ESO (15-16 years old). English as a second language.
-Timing:
6 sessions
-Aims of the lesson plan:
Students will learn about key dates in British history through the use of their
devices.
-Steps of the lessons:
1. Surf the Internet to learn about British history and choose an important
date which is celebrated nowadays. (1 session)
2. Include the date in Google calendar and locate the event in Google
maps. (1 session)
3. Create a poster in Gloster which includes text, images, audio and video.
(4 sessions)
-Assesment:
Students will be assessed through a rubric.
-Materials and Apps needed:
Mobile phone, tablet, PC and/or laptop.

⮚ Google Chrome or Firefox to search for information.
❖ Poster:
⮚ Glogster to create and publish the poster.
❖ Audio:
⮚ Audacity to record and edit audio.
⮚ ivoox o soundcloud to upload a podcast.

⮚ YouTube , Schooltube o Vimeo to choose a video.
⮚ If the students prefer to record their own video, they can use their mobile
phones and then one of the following:
▪ Screencast-O-Matic, moviemaker, camtasia studio, SlideTalk ,
Slidepaper, movenote.
⮚ The students can also use the following tools and then convert them to a
video format:
▪ PowToon, Powerpoint , Prezi, Slideshare.
⮚ Students can enrich their videos with: EDpuzzle , Playposit (formerly
known as Educanon), Kahoot

⮚ Pinterest or Padlet.
⮚ Popplet or Cmap.
❖ Calendar: Google calendar.
❖ Map: Google maps.
❖ Publishing:
⮚ Blogger or wordPress.
