3. En Latinoamérica, 6 de cada 10 emprendedores abandona su
proyecto en el primer año, convirtiendo a la región en la segunda
con mayor tasa de mortalidad a nivel global.
TA S A D E M O R TA L I D A D
La principal causa de esta elevada tasa de mortalidad suele ser la
dificultad para alcanzar, dentro de los primeros meses de vida del
emprendimiento, viabilidad económica.
I N E S TA B I L I D A D F I N A N C I E R A

business with social impact based on the PIPs program; and tech- based
organizations that work under the company builders program should be able to raise
impact investing funds, which would allow them to work with a long term
perspective – Target groups - Outcomes.
Finally, our theory of change end up suggesting that with our well defined and
quality services we will help the target population to achieve middle-term outcome,
which will enable them to achieve long-term results that in this case has a triple
impact – social, economic and environmental impact. Based on how GREENDEMIA
select the projects, those impacts should be targeting one or more of the 17
Sustainable Development Goals – Social need.

OUTCOME EVALUATION 2015/2016
• GRENDEMIA in a short time has been able to demonstrate remarkable results, which
makes us believe that we are in the right path to achieve long lasting impact; to contribute
to the sustainable development of LATAM by supporting projects with triple impact and
specifically affecting any of the Sustainable Development Goal (SDGs) proposed by the
UN in 2015.
• We have been able to affect positively our target population which are start-ups, SMEs,
private and public institutions and technology based start-ups with great impact and scale
potential.
• Most of the improvements listed bellow were mainly possible because these organizations
were part of GRENDEMIA. We helped them to: succeed, to succeed sooner or/and
greater.
30. POTENTIAL IMPACTS 2015/2016
What is the main impact or SDGs that GRENDEMIA´s projects are targeting?
• They are currently tackling or targeting 15 of the 17 SDGs.
• Goal 12 is the most tackled. That is “Ensure sustainable consumption and production
patterns”.
• From our 20 most important organizations with whom we have been working: most of
them tackle 2 or 3 SDGs, therefore we can say that they usually have multiple impact.
Note that PROESUS INCUBA, part of our PIP program is currently targeting 6.

31. EXAMPLES OF SUCCESS STORIES
XINCA ECOSHOES (SME)
IN A
NUTSHELL
XINCA is a B
corporation that
develops
footwear from
recycled and
reused material.
They work
mainly with
inmates from the
Mendoza
province. They
are a great
example of
social inclusion.
GREENDEMIA
We gave them U$ 25.000 that they used to purchase machinery
OUTCOMES &
IMPACT
Thanks to the machinery
and GREENDEMIA´s
support they achieved to
strengthen their value
chain and incremented
their production. But most
important they were able
to improve the working
conditions of inmates,
their competitiveness and
ultimately their quality of
life.
SDGs Goals: 8,10,12
BREATH: N° beneficiaries
XINCA employs approximately 35 people.
✓ 20 inmates of the San Felipe Prison , Mendoza
✓ 6 seamstresses who just got released.
✓ Plus their NGO workers.
Video Link
DEPTH: How much positive effect
XINCA seeks to promote integral well-being in inmates
struggling for an effective social reinsertion. Providing:
+ Productive activity
+ Health programs for inmates
+ Emotional & personal empowerment = other activities.
FOCUS: Vulnerability of the target population
XINCA works with highly vulnerable population. Specifically,
people who were taken to jail in many cases because of a
high level of existing social inequality.
MAS AMBIENTE (SME)
IN A
NUTSHELL
Start-up that
creates social and
environmental
impact employing
women from
vulnerable
neighborhoods
while donating a %
of their utilities.
They provide a
concrete recycling
solution to the
environmental
problem generated
by the large
amount of disused
oil, coming from
the gastronomic
and automotive
industry.
GREENDEMIA
We gave them U$ 25.000 that they used to purchase machinery
OUTCOMES &
IMPACT
Más Ambiente managed
to strengthen their
business model and
productive capacity.
Additionally, after
GREENDEMIA´s
intervention they were
awarded by PROESUS and
their Entrepreneurs for
Sustainable Development
program.
SDGs Goals: 1,5, 10,12
BREATH: How many beneficiaries
✓ They provide work to more than 15 women
✓ They also donate 15% of sales revenue to 9
educational institutions, reaching more than 2000
young people.
Video Link
DEPTH: How much is the positive effect on that
population
+ Environmental impact: Avoiding 90,000,000 liters of
water getting contaminated because of disused oil
every year.
+ Social impact: Improves quality of life of young
people living in shelters / schools and quality work for
women.
FOCUS: How vulnerable is the targeted population

orphanages, shelters and boarding schools.
32. EXAMPLES OF SUCCESS STORIES
CAMILLA INTELIGENTE (Social Company Builder)
QUICK LUBE (PIP)
IN A
NUTSHELL
Camilla
Inteligente (CI)
is a medical
device that
moves patients
who have
suffered
accidents
without
generating
direct contact
with them,
reducing the
risk of
worsening their
wounds or
causing new
ones from the
transfer
maneuvers.
OUTCOMES & IMPACT
Currently, CI is in concrete
negotiations to enter the
European and American market,
by the hand of a big actor of this
industry (Johnson & Johnson).
Additionally, thanks to
GREENDEMIA, CI rethought its
development strategy. Nowadays,
Camilla Inteligente is focused on
improving its prototype.
SDGs Goal: 3
BREATH: How many beneficiaries
✓ 6 established market segments (listed below)
✓ Plans to place 9,000 units in 3 years reaching
approximately 130,000 people (each unit can work 7 days a
week and attend at least two accidents per day )
✓ Indirect reach of close to half a million people
Link video
DEPTH: How much is the positive effect on that
population
CI humanizes the movement of casualties, avoiding injuries by
improving and incorporating innovation into stretchers, medical
devices that until now were highly standardized and generating
government savings of around USD 1.8B
FOCUS: How vulnerable is the targeted population
CI focuses on everyone that might one day require
movement because of causalities and is of great use for
clinics and hospitals, rescue services and fire departments
IN A NUTSHELL
A local SME dedicated to
the replacement of
lubricants, filters and
specific liquids of light
vehicles, an activity
considered as a "major
contaminant" due to the
generation and
accumulation of
hazardous waste.
Although, they pay taxes,
the municipality does not
provide a proper waste-
management solution.
Therefore, they need to
pay "junk" collector to
put them out of sight,
harming the community
and the environment.
GREENDEMIA
They participated in our Purpose Innovation Program (PIP), helping to create a new
product that is glue for ceramics from disused automotive oil. We connect them
with another NGO called Más Ambiente who recovers and uses disused oil to
produce toilet soaps and now both institutions are developing an R & D project
to produce glue for ceramics
OUTCOMES &
IMPACT
Quick Lube transformed
waste into a reusable good
and they stopped
incurring into extra
expenses because of
waste-management and
most important they
decreased its negative
environmental impact.
SDGs Goal: 12
BREATH: How many beneficiaries
✓ The direct application of our PIP will directly impact
approximately 5000 people, because..
Link video
DEPTH: How much is the positive effect on that
population
+ Around 800 liters of disused contaminating oil will not
go to the city of Mendoza landfills each month.
+ Preventing the contamination of around 720,000,000
liters of water.
FOCUS: How vulnerable is the targeted population
This PIP has direct environmental impact benefiting all
Mendoza citizens, not only vulnerable people.
GREENDEMIA
CI was part of the Social Company Builder program where GREENDEMIA invested
USD10,000 and more than 250 hours of training in order to strengthen the venture.
Because of that, CI was able to establish a strategic alliance with HealthCare City, a
medical device incubator belonging to Johnson & Johnson and raising private
investment for another USD 10,000.
