Designed for girls aged 13 to 18,TransportationYOU is a unique
mentoring program developed through a partnership between DOT
andWTS, an international organization that supports women working
in the transportation industry.With the help ofWTS members,
TransportationYOU introduces participants to various transportation
careers while encouraging them to pursue studies in the areas of
science, math, and technology.

In addition to local programs and activities, selectTransportationYOU
participants and mentors take part in the program's DCYouth Summit.
The event gives attendees the opportunity to travel toWashington,
DC, for five days of activities, including tours, engineering challenges,
and meetings with government administrators.
The nextTransportationYOU DCYouth Summit will take place June 26-
30, 2019.Applications are open to allWTS members on a first-come,
first-served basis.
TransportationYOU participants selected to attend will meet with
college representatives and the US Secretary ofTransportation.The
event will feature a dinner banquet and tours of the Capitol Building,
the Department ofTransportation,GeorgeWashington University, and
