Coaching Courses
The IHF has developed and maintains an online education
platform that provides updates and information on the sport
to referees, coaches, players and other relevant parties.
The Coaching Education Structure of the International Hand-
ball Federation was approved in July 2016 by the IHF Coun-
cil and details the four main levels of training, as well as the
amount of time required for the completion of each level.
Requirements to Access Coaching
Courses
In order to be provided with an IHF coaching course, the re-
questing National Federation must agree to pay the accom-
modation costs of the IHF’s lecturer and the costs of their local
travel. A local expert must also be provided to assist the IHF
lecturer, and any accommodation and local travel costs in-
curred by this person must also be paid by the National Feder-
ation, and their daily expenses will also need to be reimbursed.
The IHF must be provided with a list of the participants - in-
cluding each person’s CV and their current level of compe-
tence – by the National Federation, so that a decision can be
made regarding the appropriate course level or a suggested
level can be approved.
