o Information Assurance Manager for weather IT assets in European Command (EUCOM) and Africa Command
(AFRICOM). Manage certification and accreditation process for the HORACE Weather System, utilizing the Enterprise
Information Technology Data Repository (EITDR). Direct FISMA compliance for weather systems and report FISMA
metrics in EITDR.
o Analyze requirements and establish plans of action for improving IT applications in the European Theater. Analyzes
existing and planned applications, both hardware and software, to determine current and future potential for
enhancements.
o Provide cost benefit analysis based upon the organizations goals and objectives, and available resources recommend
adjustments to IT priorities/budgets to meet changing business needs.
o Develop and interpret policy for administering IT systems. Assess policy needs and review, revise, and develop

o Provide end-to-end, enterprise-level information systems support including server management, workstation
management, information assurance, systems engineering and integration, database management, application
development, network infrastructure support, and satellite data reception. Collaborate with and conduct liaison
activities with the Air Force Weather Agency, the United Kingdom Meteorological Office, Bundeswehr Geographic
Information Office and NATO weather agencies.
o Performed patch testing and application for client/server suite. Acted as Information Assurance Officer at squadron
level. Managed over 180 user, computer, and e-mail accounts.
o Installed, set-up and maintain Dell servers, including models; 1950, 2900, 2950, M1000 Blade chassis with M600 Blade
servers. Installed MS Server 2003, 2008; 32 and 64 bit architecture. Performance monitoring and system tuning.
o Manage servers and workstations onsite, and remotely with MS RDP, DameWare remote connection programs.
o Maintain Dell SAN storage arrays, MD3000, Equalogic PS series iSCSI, and EMC Clarion fiber channel setups.
o Installed, managed, and provide daily maintenance of the OPS II Distribution servers, responsible for distributing over
25,000 files daily to multiple servers and resource domains, utilizing TCP, FTP, SFTP, HTTP-S and UDP connections.
o Manage Oracle 10g Database server on MS platforms, with SQL Developer, TOAD for Oracle, and SQL Plus command
console.
o Assured security baseline configuration management on all servers in the data center, in accordance with both locally
determined baselines and centrally managed systems.
o Designed and installed VMWare ESXi 4 virtual environment, successfully migrating 10 servers, while reducing

o Coordinated Squadron compliance with the Payment Card Industries Data Security Standard (PCI-DSS). Configured
security of 50+ LAN’s utilizing firewalls, VLANS, secured Wi-Fi access (WPA2 Enterprise) and strengthened policy and
guidelines.
o Coordinated with upper-level management in redesigning and reconfiguring current security programs concerning the
secure handling of PCI-DSS data, magnetic card stripe data, CCV data and the physical security required to keep this
data confidential.
o Coordinated vulnerability assessments, penetration testing, RETINA scans for all public facing credit card processing
systems.
o Implemented Information Assurance Awareness Program, responsible for the confidentiality, integrity and availability
of information resources within the squadron. Prevented unauthorized access to personal and mission critical data
utilizing Domain security groups within Active Directory.
o Provided tier I/II/III desktop support via phone, on-site and remote assistance.
o Maintained the Air Force Inns Lodging Touch Property Management System (LTS) for 6 years with 99% uptime. LTS
operated in a MS 2003 server environment, using a SQL client/server deployment. Firm knowledge of SQL query
analyzer, SQL server user administration and backup routines with SQL.
o Developed and utilized operating system deployment lab to deploy workstation images to over 800 desktop
workstations.
