3. Nutritional Needs
✘ Your puppy will require two to four more times the amount of food
an adult Husky would need in order to grow strong and healthy.
✘ Be sure to read the nutrition labels of the dog food you are
purchasing to make sure they are getting their recommended
nutrients.
4. Recommended Nutrients
Veterinary professionals recommend the following nutrients:
✘ 10 Essential Amino Acids - Arginine, histidine, isoleucine, leucine, lysine, methionine, along
with phenylalanine, threonine, tryptophan, and valine
✘ 11 Vitamins - A, D, B1, B3, B5, B6, B12, Folic Acid, and Choline
✘ 12 Minerals - Calcium, phosphorous, potassium, sodium, chloride, magnesium, copper,
manganese, zinc, iodine, and selenium

5. How Much To Feed A Siberian Husky
Siberian Huskies are working dogs. This means that they require little food to function daily.
Their specialized metabolism allows them to go for long periods of time without stuffing
themselves.
✘ Recommended feedings for adult dogs are usually around 1.5 to 2 cups of food a day
split between morning and evening meals. Puppies require feeding three times a day just
like you.
✘ If you leave food out continuously however, you don't want to allow your Husky to
overeat and become overweight.
✘ Overweight Huskies live a shorter lifespan and they will more than likely not be able to
lose the weight.
✘ We recommend speaking with your breeder and/or veterinarian so they can recommend
what they have been feeding their puppies and when you can switch to an adult dog food,
which usually takes a year or two for your dog to become full grown.
