Teaching Philosophy
It is essential in today’s environment we teach scientific methodology and relate our
experience in the field as well as that of a scholar. While all educators have the common
goal for students to master the course material, the highest achievement is for the outcome
of a student to apply the material to a real world situation. To accomplish this I relate real
world experiences and show how to apply the material to the real world. In teaching I put
an emphasis on not only the material being covered but the implications of application of
that knowledge in the ever changing world of today.
The greatest marketing tool any college or university has is the quality of their graduating
students. My focus is for my students to graduate having the skills to immediately be
successful in the real world.
My classrooms are engaging to where students develop trouble shooting skills, develop real
world skills, critical thinking skills, and help them develop the ability to communicate at all
levels of the organization. As an adult learner these are my expectations from my
professors and those are the skills I use in my classrooms.
Personal Attributes
Highly qualified computer engineer with over twenty years of real world IT
experience.
Experience in conducting seminars and teaching sessions with over 100
attendees.
Detail oriented professional.
Extensive senior level management experience.
Efficiently and creatively use my experience to identify ways in which students
can learn and discuss material in their course in a real world environment.
