Adventist Health Systems
Date: July 9, 2013
To Whom It May Concern:
I have known Marilyn Machin for the past 7 years, as both, a close friend and colleague. I was first
introduced to Marilyn when I joined the Stryker Spine South Florida team, where she was working as
our manager. I am writing this reference letter with regard to her application for a management
position within Adventist Health Systems.
Marilyn is one of the most dedicated people I have ever known. Her ability to work efficiently under
stressful conditions and nerve-wracking deadlines speaks volumes about her hard work,
determination, and composed demeanor. She never ceases to amaze me, having to deal with the
demands each of us, and still being able to keep her reports on track and get to us what was needed
on time and in order. She has a compassion for people that is undeniable and will do anything within
her possibilities to help everyone out, and get done what needs to get done, no matter what that
entails! She is truly a gift to have on your team and joy to work with.
I would also like to add that Marilyn is a compassionate human being with praiseworthy perseverance
and ambition. I believe that she is a deserving candidate for the management position and would
prove to be an indispensable asset for your organization. I thereby, strongly recommend Marilyn for
the aforementioned post. You will not be disappointed with her as your lead.
Sincerely,
Melissa Hankins
