Myers LOR
1. 6 July 2016
To Whom it may concern.
On behalf of myself and the other junior enlisted soldiers assigned to the supervision and
direction of Christina Myers, I can say with confidence that Christina Myers is a proven leader
and is highly qualified for the applied management position. Since November 2015, I have been
under the instructions of Christina Myers as she is the NCOIC (Non-Commissioned Officer In
Charge) of our team in the 915th Forward Surgical Team. Her job duties include but are not
limited to;
-Management of both lower enlisted and commissioned members of the healthcare team.
-Directly reporting to the OIC (Officer In Charge) of our team.
-Complete accountability of persons and sensitive equipment assigned to team.
-Disciplinary and on the spot correction of actions.
-Responsible for general safety and well-being of assigned soldiers.
-Functioning team member as a senior 68D (Surgical Technician).
As this is only the start to my military career, I have discovered that it takes great
devotion and sacrifice to hold the position as a NCOIC. In this position one is held accountable
for the actions of those assumed responsible for. Christina Myers has not only proven that she is
a good NCO at the rank of sergeant, but that she has performed above the expectations given to
her as the team NCOIC. She has shown this by being flexible in ever-changing environments,
utilizing her organizational expertise, and leading by example. Christina Myers does not lead
from behind and will assist and take on tasks along the sides of those appointed to her . She has
vast experience as a lower team member which has shown to be a positive factor in the way she
leads.
The single most important trait that Christina Myers has shown to the team is her ability
to put her soldiers first. Through the proof of her over sea deployment experience, educational
devotion, and selfless behavior, Christina Myers is an excellent candidate for any team
management. She demonstrates the qualities of a leader who combines work initiative with
human relations. I can say with pride that Sgt Myers is a well rounded NCO, leader, healthcare
team member, and person overall. It has been a pleasure and an area of self improvement for
myself under the supervision and care of Christina Myers. I believe fully that Christina Myers
has the qualities, skills, and knowlege needed in a management position.
