Introduction
3. Genre and conventions
– The film will combine signs of various genres. But the main one is
still drama, that will include typical drama conventions: real life,
realistic people, emotional storyline based on a conflict, strong
structure with realization at the end.
“I made mistakes in drama. I thought drama was when actors
cried. But drama is when the audience cries.”
Frank Capra
10. Music examples
Thinking of a drama aspect of the
film I immediately imagined that
the main soundtrack must include
piano. Soft, emotional track that at
the same time will keep people in
tension, as while the main
character tries to solve the mystery
of the camera the audience should
be intrigued.
Call to action – buying a camera
Building actions – 1) testing camera 2) finding out that it takes pictures of an old era 3) testing #2
Reveal – you can’t take a picture if you don’t remember it. It works only on memories.
Easy to shoot
Well structured
Fits the brief
Target audience – people like we are – students, youth and may be those who relate to that era – our grandparents, our parents. Those, who remember and keep all their precious memories in their minds.
