Leaving from Cusco at 6.30 a.m. on a public or private bus, and drive for 4 hours towards
Lares the starting point of our trek. Here, we will spend time bathing in the hot springs before
having lunch. Accompanied by mules to carry our staffs, we begin our hike up for 4 hours
per 8 Km (4.8 miles) to the Andean community of Quishuarani (3700 m.) were we have a
stunning view of the snow-capped peak, Colque Cruz (5700 m.). Enjoying the villagers
herding their sheep and llamas unfold before us.
Sunday 16th
April: Quishuarani - Cancha Cancha (B, L, D)
Today we enjoy the small andean community of Quishuarani and the waterfalls following an
original Inca stone path. As we reach the Pachacutec mountain pass (4500 m.), we have
spectacular views of the snow-capped peaks of Pitusiray (5750m.) and Chicon (5500m.). We
can see the Suirococha lagoon located next to the village of Cancha Cancha (3800 m.). WE
will walk for 6 – 7 hours per 13.5 km (8 miles).
Monday 17th
April: Cancha Cancha - Huaran - Ollantaytambo- Aguas Calientes(B,
L, D)
The last day hiking from the village of Cancha Cancha, passing thatched-roof stone houses
and pastoral farmlands. The trail today is for 4 hours per 9 Km. (5.4 miles) comes out at
Huaran community (2800 m.); from where our bus will take us to the legendary Inca town
of Ollantaytambo after the lunch we take train to Aguas Calientes (tourist class).

all the trekking (You couldn’t ride in descent). Since 2 or more horse the price is USD
