INKA JUNGLE TREK TO MACHUPICCHU 4D/3N
Description:
The Inka Jungle trek is a recent discovered tour to Machupicchu,
nominated as one of the best alternative option to get the ancient
citadel, Downhill Biking, River Rafting, Hiking and Zip Line are the
adventure activities part of this tour.
Itinerary:
Day 1. - Cusco – Ollantaytambo – Malaga Pass – Santa Maria
Early in the morning our private tourist transport will pick you up from
your hotel, it is normally at 7:00 am. Once ready, the bus will drive
to Ollantaytambo going by some nice villages and the majestic high city
of the Sacred Valley “Chinchero”, upon arrival at Ollantaytambo we will
do a short break, which will be on a market where you can provide of
some snacks and also to have a delicious breakfast. After that stop we
will continue our travel on the way to Malaga pass “4,300 masl” where
the biking activity begins, 20 minutes takes the briefing with the
necessary recommendations about the biking route then the following 3
hours of downhill road to enjoy and finally arriving to Huamanmarca,
place where we pack the bikes and continue to Santa Maria, after half
an hour driving we arrive at the restaurant to have a comforting lunch,
finally we will do the rafting activity for the rest of the afternoon,
the river rapids are between 1-3+.
Day 2. - Santa Maria – Santa Teresa
This is one of the best part of the Inka Jungle tour, 7 hours of an
adventurous hike through the mountains with green vegetation and
watching good landscapes, there is a section to hike over the real and
ancient Inka Trail, that will be for 30 minutes approximately, we
complete this day resting on the natural hot springs spending 2 hours
there then we will go to the hostel to stay there for that night.

Day 3.- Santa Teresa – Hidroelectrica – Aguas Calientes
On this day we start doing Zip Line, there are 5 cables to cross with
2500 meters of length at least then the jumping bridge closes this
fabulous activity. The transportation to Hidroelectrica is included, it
takes 45 minutes followed by 3 hours of a flat hiking on the way to
Aguas Calientes, the town where we will sleep awaiting for Machupicchu.
Day 4.- Aguas Calientes – Machupicchu – Aguas Calientes- Cusco
This will be one of the most amazing day in your life, Machupicchu is
only 2 hours from Aguas Calientes if you walk or 30 minutes if you take
the bus transportation, 3 hours of a guided tour visiting the most
important points of the citadel then you will choose what to do because
the rest of the day will be free for you. It is very important for you
to remember the train schedule, according that your visit in Machupicchu
will be prolonged or no, the train transportation is to Ollantaytambo
then there is going to be a bus waiting for you at the train station,
the journey back to Cusco is for 4 hours in total.
