2. Safety instructions
· Transporters with Trendelenburg adjustment must be aligned horizontally prior to transfer. In case 1140 table tops with
manual longitudinal adjustment are employed, the patient’s centre of gravity must be located above the column.
· Check the safety catches and that the table top is in the correct horizontal position after every transfer procedure.
· Do not reach under the table top or between moving parts during adjustment or transfer procedures – hazard of pinch
ing and crushing.
· Parts pointing downwards (e.g. leg plates, accessories) can collide during adjustment procedures.
Obstructing objects such as accessories, surgical drapes, tubing, etc. must not come between parts moving towards
one another
Power supply for stationary columns
A modulated tone with intervals sounds in case of a malfunction in the stationary transformer unit, e.g. caused by defective
fuses, when the main switch is switched off or in case of a power supply failure. Have the malfunction checked by the in-
house technician; if necessary, inform the MAQUET Customer Service.
Power supply for mobile columns
An intermittent tone with long intervals sounds when the battery charge level is less than 30%. If the batteries are dis-
charged, the columns can be operated from the mains by means of the mobile transformer unit. (When connecting to the
mains, observe the correct order: first plug in the connecting cable of the transformer unit at the column, then the mains ca-
ble may be connected outside of zone M).
Acoustic signals
Continuous tone: Final position reached or function disabled
(e.g. because the transporter has not been inserted corrrectly).
For more detailed information please refer to the Operating Instructions (GA115002GBXX).
IR hand control:
The remote control allows to activate all motor-powered
functions. If the transmitter is not in use, it must be
inserted into the charging station in the correct position.
l Quickly flashing yellow LED (stand-by operation):
The column is operational. The battery capacity is sufficient.
l Permanent yellow signal:
Functional indicator during motor-powered adjustment.
l Flashing yellow LED:
Battery charge level less than 30%.
l Yellow LED flashing with short intervals:
Total discharge limit reached, recharge immediately.
l Permanent green signal:
