Materials used in the construction of the Tabernacle and their significance.

The Mineral Kingdom
• Gold. In the OT and NT speaks of Deity.
Divine nature, Kingly nature,
The Glory of God and God the Father. (Job 23:10, Rev 21:21)
• Silver. Speaks to us of redemption.
The atonement, ransom money and God the Son.
Price payed for His betrayal who was our ransom.
(Exodus 30:11-16, Zechariah 11:12-13, 1 Peter 1:18-20)

3. The Mineral Kingdom
• Brass. Symbolizes strength; judgement against sin;
God the Holy Spirit.
Deuteronomy 28:23 (NKJV) 23 And your heavens
which are over your head shall be bronze, and the earth
which is under you shall be iron.
• Precious stones. Used in the priestly garments,
Symbolizes the various gifts of the Holy Spirits,
The glories of the saints; the preciousness of God’s people,
The righteousness of the children of God.

The Vegetal Kingdom
• Fine Linen. Speaks of the righteousness of Christ.
Of the righteousness of the Saints, clothed with Christ’
The Bride (Revelation 19:7-8)
The 7 angels carrying the 7 plagues (Revelation 15:5-6)
• Shitting Wood. “Incorruptible” or “non-decaying wood”.
Product of the earth, speaks of the human nature of Christ.
Incorruptible sinless humanity of our Lord Jesus Christ.
He is the righteous branch’.
It also speaks of the redeemed body of Christ, the Church.

The Vegetal Kingdom
• Oil for Light. Symbolic of the Holy Spirit.
In connection with light, suggesting the ministry of
illumination that the Holy Spirit does.
The Holy Spirit enlighten our eyes to the word of God. (1
John 2:27 )
• Spices for the Anointing Oil. Symbolic of the ministry of the
Holy Spirit who anoint us to minister.
• Spices then speak of the graces, character, fruit and
different operations of the Holy Spirit. (Gal 5:22-23)

The Vegetal Kingdom
• Spices for the Anointing Incense.
• Speaks of the prayers that ascend to the Lord as a pleasing
incense. (Psalm 141:2)
It typifies as well the different prayers, including
intersession, prays and worship to God. Incense always go
from man to God. (Luke 1:10)
• Revelation 5:8 (NKJV) 8 Now when He had taken the scroll,
the four living creatures and the twenty-four elders fell down
before the Lamb, each having a harp, and golden bowls full of
incense, which are the prayers of the saints.

• Blue, (shellfish). Blue is the heavenly color.
• Exodus 24:10 (NIV)
10 and saw the God of Israel. Under his feet was something
like a pavement made of lapis lazuli, as bright blue as the sky.
• Ezekiel 1:26 (NIV)
26 Above the vault over their heads was what looked like a
throne of lapis lazuli, and high above on the throne was a
figure like that of a man.

The Animal Kingdom
• Purple. (shellfish) The most precious color in ancient times
and represents royalty and kingship. Gospel of Matthew
deal with the King and His Kingship. (Judges 8:26; John
19:1-3)
• Scarlet. (worm or Insect) Color of blood which speaks of
sacrifice. Speaks of the redemptive work of Christ in the
atonement.
He was the sacrifice and shed his own blood for the
forgiveness of the sins of many.

The Animal Kingdom
• Goats hair. Used mainly in the sin offering of the OT.
The goats hair covering speaks to us of sin.
(Lev 4:22-29; 16:15-16)

Rams’ skin died red. Ram and lamb were sacrificial animals.
Abraham offered a ram instead of his son Isaac.
The Ram’s skin speak of consecration, dedication and
substitution. (Gen 22:13-14; Exodus 29)
Genesis 3:21 (NKJV) 21 Also for Adam and his wife
the LORD God made tunics of skin, and clothed them.

• Badgers’ skins. Not a precious fur. Used in the outside of
theTabernacle to protect it.That was what form outside
someone would see.
• The badgers’ skin speaks of the humanity of Christ, of his
earthly body. (Isaiah 52:14
• Isaiah 53:1-3 (NKJV) 3 He is despised and rejected by men, A
Man of sorrows and acquainted with grief. And we hid, as it
were, our faces from Him; He was despised, and we did not
esteem Him.

12. THE ENCLOSURE WALL
OF FINE WHITE LINEN
• TheTabernacle itself was surrounded by a wall of
fine white linen, signifying righteousness.
• It was a clear separation, so no one could accidently
get too close to the tabernacle.
• The North and South side had 100 cubits long x 5
cubits high.
• The west side had 50 cubits long x 5 cubits high.

13. THE ENCLOSURE WALL
OF FINE WHITE LINEN
• These curtains were hanging on posts with hooks.
• There were 20 posts in the North side and 20 posts
in the South side.
• On theWest side there were 10 posts, and in the
East side another 10 posts.
• All together there were 60 posts.

14. The pillars and sockets
are of bronze
• Exodus 27:10 (NKJV)
• 10 And its twenty pillars and
their twenty sockets shall
be bronze.
• Bronze is a type of
judgement.
• The pegs and posts of the
tabernacle court are made
of brass with brass sockets
in the ground, and each
one is five cubits high.

15. The top of the
posts of brass are
crowned with silver.
• This clearly speaks of
the redemptive quality
of the enclosure.
Redemption surrounds
the whole court.
• Her walls represent
redemption.
• The hooks on the pillars
are made of silver, and
these are used to hold
the hangings.

16. Exodus 38:9-10
(NKJV)
• Hangings, represent the flesh,
and their HOOKS are of silver,
which represents redemption.
• The hangings, face the outside
world, and the inside court.
• They are kept in place by the
REDEMPTIVE POWER OF GOD.
• The hangings are 100 cubits by
50 cubits.
• 100 speaks of the testimony of
Jesus.
• 50 speaks of the Ministry of
Christ, Jubilee. (Luke 4:17-19.)
• 9 Then he made the court on
the south side; the hangings
of the court were of fine
woven linen, one hundred
cubits long.
• 10 There were twenty pillars
for them, with twenty
bronze sockets.The hooks of
the pillars and their
bands were silver.

17. The wall
of fine linen
• The wall was hand made
of fine twined linen.The
whole fence, except the
gate, was made of fine
twined linen.
• The wall is clearly sending
the message that purity is
the defense of the
church.
• The devil cannot resist
purity, purity is an offense
to evil society.

18. The gate had four
pillars, typifying
the four gospels .
• The gate signifies the place
where man re-enters into
God.
• We see here a close
reference to this gate and
the gate of the Garden of
Eden.
• We need to understand
that all these things,
though they were in the
natural, they do have a
spiritual meaning to us in
Christ Jesus.

19. John 10:7-9 (NKJV)
Jesus the Good Shepherd
• 7 ThenJesus said to them again, “Most assuredly, I say
to you, I am the door of the sheep.
• 8 All who ever came before Me[a] are thieves and
robbers, but the sheep did not hear them.
• 9 I am the door. If anyone enters by Me, he will be
saved, and will go in and out and find pasture.

20. The door of the Tabernacle and
“I am the Door.”
• People gathered at the entrance of the tabernacle, to worship
Yahweh, to hear His instructions and to offer sacrifices.
• People entered through the door knowing their faults, to offer
the required sacrifice. So we do.
• As Jesus is the Door, we come to him to hear and learn His Word.
• We have entered into the presence of God through the only door,
who is Jesus, to offer sacrifices of worship and praise.
• No more blood sacrifices are needed. as He was the perfect one.

21. Colossians 4:3-4 (NKJV)
• 3 meanwhile praying also for us, that God would open
to us a door for the word, to speak the mystery of
Christ, for which I am also in chains,
• 4 that I may make it manifest, as I ought to speak.
• God is who causesTHE DOOR to be manifested to us, to present THE
WORD.
• When this opening happens, then we are able to make Jesus
manifested to the listeners.
