Description : Analysed the thermoacoustic cooling affects for a counter top thermoacoustic refrigerator in term of
optimized design and cooling obtained. Identified the parameter that could have affected the current low
temperature difference cooling effects. Modified and tested for an improvised thermoacoustic refrigerator.
Estimated the impedance effects causing low efficiency and modified it for maximum efficiency. Achieved
refrigeration at 15.5 degrees celsius using thermo acoustic refrigerator.
BACHELOR THESIS PROJECT (BTP)
Project Title : Material characterization of nano fluids
Duration : August 2011 – April 2012
Guide : Dr. Niranjan Sahoo, Associate Professor, Department of Mechanical Engg, IIT Guwahati
Description : Observed the structural changes from between Pt, Ag and Pt, Ag+CNTs with help of images achieved by
SEM and TEM. Measured change in thermal conductivity and diffusivity of Pt, Ag due to the addition of
CNTs for making thermocouple. Parametric study of properties of Pt, Ag on addition of CNTs in different
proportion by mass.

2. COURSE PROJECTS
Project Title : Automatic Generation of CNC Milling Codes
Duration : March 2011 – April 2011
Description : Simple C/C++ code was written to generate CNC milling codes for different operations like pocket milling,
contour milling and drilling. The user has to input the various dimension of final geometry of the work
piece and the location of the drilling. The C/C++ code would generate the FANUC system CNC milling code
that can be directly fed into the CNC milling machine.
Project Title : Animation of Kinematic Mechanisms
Duration : August 2010 – September 2010
Description : Worked on MATLAB and Visual Basic to show the animation of Davis steering Mechanism.
Project Title : Heat Transfer Analysis by Conduction
Duration : March 2010
Description : Coding has been done to find the temperature at different node on a 2D-plate divided into uniform grids of
equal size by Finite Difference method, Gauss Siedel Method and Successive Over Relaxation.
