Raising Awareness at workplace
SAFETY & SECURITY MANAGEMENT
Objectives
Purpose of this module is to identify the techniques
& effective methods of raising staff awareness on
safety & security at workplace.
We live in a world of ever-increasing risk. No
workplace – be it a construction site, office building,
factory floor, or retail store – is immune from these
threats. Risks threaten staff safety, staff morale, and
organization’s efficiency level.
‘Awareness is the greatest agent for
change’
Why S & S Awareness?
To make the staff understand
– salient features of safety
& security arrangements at
workplace.
– how it is contributing to the
organization and staffs’ well being.
– the risks & threats associated to the workplace and
movements
– the roles of a staff as an individual contributor
– team approach to make a better & safe workplace
Why S & S Awareness?
– Making people notice things
– Making people happier by making them notice things
and thus making them commit to something
– Planting an idea in people's heads and leading them
to an "awakening’’
– Making people understand that they need to stand up
for something
– Sharing passion: showing people why you're
passionate about something and why you think they
should be passionate too
Workplace Safety & Security
One of the aspects of maintaining a productive &
