Course Structure and Requirements
Course Title: Practical Search Engine Optimization (SEO)
Course Objectives:
a. This course is specially designed to provide technical knowledge and skills to cope with the requirement of
---------occupations of the------- sector.The course will be implemented to ensure at least 80% of total contact hours on
practical/hands on skills training or practice and 20% trade/ occupations related theory including OHS and soft modules;
b. The course is designed to enable trainees to acquire a range of technical and vocational, practical, personal and
organizational skills valued and utilized both within and beyond the workplace;
c. The course is designed to meet the required competencies of the occupations needed in the labor market in and outside
the country;

I. Requirement of Competencies for the Targeted Occupations in the Job market
1. Clear understanding of the proper use of web browsers (Chrome, Firefox) and having a clear idea on add-ons &
extensions.
2. A prior understanding of the basics of SEO would be good but not necessary.
3. Ability to read, write and speak error free English.
4. Must have the capability to learn, work hard, and play major role when assigned and should not be money motivated.
5. Must have the desire to build the career as an Online Marketing Professional in both local and international domains.
6. Having the intention to learn techniques that are ethical and as per Google Guideline.
II. Competency Level: Basic Skilled Worker Level 1/Medium-Skilled Worker Level 2/Semi-skilled Worker Level3/ Skilled
Worker Level 4/ Highly Skilled Worker(Supervisor) Level 5( Appropriate level should be mentioned)
III. Student Assessment Method
a. Class Test( oral & practical based on achievement of competencies , once every 7 days)
b. Monthly Test( oral & practical, once every 30 days)
c. Final Test ( oral and practical based on achievement of competencies outlined for the course )
d. Final Test to be conducted by Industry Assessors and institutional Trainers to assess the skills received during training
IV. Industry Assessor Requirements,
Assessor to conduct assessment must meet the following requirements
a. Trainer (from other institution) or practitioner in the trade area at least for five(5) years
b. Trainer (from other institution) or practitioner should be certified by BTEB/ISC/industry association
c. One assessor can assess maximum 6(six) Trainees a day
V. Certification System
a. Certification will be done based on the assessment report from Industry Assessors and marks obtained from weekly,
monthly and final test /assessment

This course is specially designed to provide technical knowledge and skills to cope with the requirement of ---------occupations of the------- sector.The course will be implemented to ensure at least 80% of total contact hours on practical/hands on skills training or practice and 20% trade/ occupations related theory including OHS and soft modules; b. The course is designed to enable trainees to acquire a range of technical and vocational, practical, personal and organizational skills valued and utilized both within and beyond the workplace; c. The course is designed to meet the required competencies of the occupations needed in the labor market in and outside the country; Course Outline Name of the Course Duration of Course Entry Qualification Practical Search Engine Optimization (SEO) Total Duration = 48 hrs 1. Generic Skills= 9 hrs 2. Occupation Specific knowledge(trade theory) = 13.5 hrs 3. Occupation Specific Skills(practical/demonstration)= 25.5 hrs 1. Three days per week 2. 4:00 Hours per day 1. Age minimum = 18+yrs 2. Education = General Stream Graduates or any equivalent I. Requirement of Competencies for the Targeted Occupations in the Job market 1. A prior understanding of the basics of SEO would be good but not necessary. 3. Ability to read, write and speak error free English. 4. Must have the capability to learn, work hard, and play major role when assigned and should not be money motivated. 5. Must have the desire to build the career as an Online Marketing Professional in both local and international domains. 6. Having the intention to learn techniques that are ethical and as per Google Guideline. II.
