4. PRODUCT MANUFACTURING PROCESS
Steel is made from iron
ore, a compound of iron,
oxygen and other
minerals that occurs in
nature.
The blast furnace/basic oxygen
furnace route, and the electric
arc furnace route.
Steel, in its simplest form,
is iron metal that's been
alloyed with less than 2%
carbon. Common alloying
elements include chromium,
manganese, and nickel.

Rolling Mill
TMT rolling bars are used in
the metal forming process.
They are primarily
responsible for reducing the
thickness of metal and
making it uniform across the
length and breadth of metal,
using a process called
Quenching
Rapid cooling hardens the
outer core of the TMT Rebars
to a depth optimized for each
section, forming a martensitic
rim while the core remains hot
& Austenitic. This cooling
technology is known as
Quenching.
Self-Tempering
The bar leaves the
quenching box with the
temperature of the core
being higher than that of
the surface.
Cutting
Bending
Steel bar cutting machine is used
for rapidly cutting various gauge
steel wire. These cutting machines
enable users to slice steel wire,
steel bar, brass wire, aluminium
wire, polycarbonate fibre, PVC pipe
and various other wires into very
thin gauge sizes.
The bend test consists
of bending a test sample of TMT
Re-bar through plastic
deformation by applying a load
against a suitable mandrel until
a specified angle (180 degree)
of bend is reached.
