More than Just Lines on a Map: Best Practices for U.S Bike Routes
Madison MMR Reference Letter
1. To Whom It May Concern,
Please accept this letter as a reference for Madison Goddyn. She completed a practicum
placement at the Vancouver Aquarium Marine MammalRescue Centre from August 26, 2014-
October 5th
, 2014. In total, she completed 158 hours at the centre working closely with a
team of other practicum students and the animal health care staff.
Madison started her practicum mid-way into a very busy season at the MMRC. This past
season we admitted 163 harbour seal pups and a false killer whale calf. At one point in
August we had upwards of 100 patients on site. To start a practicum when a season is well
into full swing like this is no easy job for many reasons. Madison hit the ground running and
was able to adapt and learn at an astonishing pace. Madison fit in well with her peers and
integrated herself well into an already existing and established team situation.
Madison’s quiet personality helped to bring a nice balance to some of the larger personalities
within the team. She is punctual and reliably worked with minimal supervision. She is
observant, thorough and a very quick learner.
I wish to thank Madison very much for all of her hard work this past season and I know that
she will be successful in any future endeavors.
