This document outlines Madison Collier's four year plan which includes a primary career path in marine biology with a minor in communications or biological sciences. Summer plans include an internship at the Cincinnati Zoo and volunteering at Four Paws animal shelter. The class helped with academic and professional development by learning about requirements and possible career paths. Madison's personal brand should reflect being hardworking and professional. On-campus resources like career fairs and the career center can provide networking opportunities and resume assistance.

4. HOW THIS CLASS IMPACTED ME
Academic Development
-The treasure chest activity I think really helped me to be smarter when
it comes to making academic decisions. I was able to see all the
requirements for my major and also things like possible career paths,
average pay, and necessary classes.
Professional Development
-This class helped me with professional development because I had to
write a paper on the career fair. Although it was not what I was
expecting it was a great experience. This is a good way to connect with
companies and businesses that may be helpful down the line.
5. PERSONAL BRAND
• A persons brand can tell a lot about that person. You can make a brand for
yourself by the way you act, things you say, or even the clothes you wear. A
brand is the way someone thinks of you or what they associate you with.
Good things to be associated with a brand are characteristics such as
hardworking, driven, professional, etc. having these things are good for
networking and career development in general. Being able to live up to the
expectations of an employer is critical.
6. ON-CAMPUS SOURCES
• Future Development
-Career Fairs. This is a good way to get your name out there and
connect with people you may not of had the chance to other wise. It is will
also be good that I went to the one this year so I will know what to expect.
-Career and Leadership Development Center. This is great resource for
many different reasons. I would go here to have someone look over my
resume before I turned it into a possible future employer or even for a mock
interview.
