2. Abstract
● Our main problem in elections is rigging and slow results due to vote
counting.
● To reduce the rigging, I propose an idea of finger-print voting system.
● Biometric Finger print devices are used in the Electronic Voting
machine for voter verification
● Here one person can vote only one time.
● Results can be announced accurately and fastly.
5. Arduino UNO is a microcontroller board based on the
ATmega328P (datasheet). It has 14 digital input/output
pins (of which 6 can be used as PWM outputs), 6 analog
inputs, a 16 MHz ceramic resonator (CSTCE16M0V53-
R0), a USB connection, a power jack, an ICSP header and
a reset button.
• Among those pins we use 7 digital I/o pins, 4th and 5th
pins are used to enroll the fingerprints.
• 7th pin is used for input.
• 9th,10th,11th,12th are the pin which are used to the
parties.
12. Image Enhancement: The goal of image enhancement algorithm is to enhance the image of the ridge
structures in the recoverable regions and weaken or eliminate the unrecoverable regions.
13. Minutiae:
Minutiae refer to specific points in a fingerprint, these are the small details in a fingerprint that
are most important for fingerprint recognition. There are three major types of minutiae features:
the ridge ending, the bifurcation, and the dot (also called short ridge) etc.
14.
15. The way an optical scanner works is by shining a bright light over your fingerprint and taking a digital
photo. The light-sensitive microchip makes the digital image by looking at the ridges and valleys of the
fingerprint, turning them into 1’s and 0’s, and creates the user’s own personal code
The working principle of fingerprint sensor is on Total Internal reflection
16. Fingerprint Matching
● The algorithm which we written detects the similarities between two
templates extracted by characteristicpoint extraction algorithm. It is
done by comparing the position of each structure and characteristics
point as shown in figure
17. Voting process
● In our System we considered 4 parties for election
● For all 4 parties, I considered 4 arrays in Voting program
● In circuit we given 4 switches for 4 parties.
● We match the finger to being voted , match it with enrolled finger-
prints.
● If the finger matched , vote is matched once.
● For repeated finger-print the system rejects the vote.
18. Conclusion
● Our System reduces frauds in the Voting.
● It gives the faster results after the election.
● This system is further extended by integreting Aadhar
>> Which is helpful for detect multiple fingers of the person.
● It is reliable and secure.
● It reduces the human effort for counting.
