I am a teacher who will teach you about pronouns. Pronouns like I and you are used to refer to oneself or the person being spoken to. I is used when talking about yourself, such as "I am a girl" or "I am happy", while you is used when referring to the person you are talking to, like "You are my best friend" or "You are my crush". The verb follows the pronoun, so am follows I and are follows you.
